After Care Advice
To ensure you get the maximum benefit from your treatment, I recommend the following:
Increase the amount of water you drink over the next few days
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
Reduce your caffeine intake (coffee, tea, cola)
Rest; make time to relax for the rest of the day
After Effects
Following a massage treatment your body will undergo a self-healing process. During 24-48hrs-post treatment you may experience the following symptoms:
– Tiredness
– Headaches/Muscular aches
– Frequent visits to the toilet
– Slight rash/spots
– Perspiration
– Deep sleep or difficulty sleeping & vivid dreams
– Heightened emotional state
These symptoms are very normal and a positive result of your treatment. It is known as the ‘healing crisis’. Not everyone experiences any after effects. However, it is usually more common after your first treatment. Regular treatments will encourage your body to heal and re-balance, reducing the chance of experiencing any after effects.
